Allemond

Located in the valley, at an altitude of 713 m, Allemond is ideal for getting around Oisans easily. This is the departure point not only for cyclists climbing the Col du Glandon and the Col de la Croix de Fer, but also for a vast network of waymarked trails in the Massif des Grandes Rousses and the Belledonne.

The village has a tourist office, boulangerie, swimming pool, a cafe bar, 3 restaurants, bike shop, cash point, medical centre and a chemist.

Recently completed is the new L’Eau D’Olle express ski lift which connects Allemond to Oz-en-Oisans in 8 minutes. This super new connection is a great addition to the area. Mountain bikers are able to use the lift during the summer months.

There is a watersports centre on Lac Verney where you can hire pedalo boats, go canoeing, windsurfing, or try out stand-up paddle. The pretty local park is the venue for the majority of summer events. Nearby is a skatepark, tennis court, outdoor swimming pool, climbing wall and skate park. There is a wide range of hiking trails leaving from Allemond, some flat and accessible with a pushchair, and other more strenuous ones!

Allemond is quieter than Le Bourg d’Oisans but still has a selection of restaurants, friendly bars, supermarket, swimming pool, cash machine, tennis courts and a climbing wall. Another benefit of staying here is the Voie Verte, a cycle way along the banks of the Romanche river connecting Allemond to Bourg d’Oisans and onto Venosc.

This spacious ground floor 2 bedroom apartment is part of a large chalet comprising of three separate units. Set in a pretty garden, it boasts a private furnished terrace, WIFI, bike storage, private parking and is well equipped to self cater.

With a prime location in the centre of the village, ideal for cyclists seeking to ride the famous cols, and for winter holidays being next to the new Eau d'Olle Express gondola to Oz en Oisans/Alpe d'huez, lets you reach the slopes in less than 8 minutes! There is also a resort shuttle bus stop next to the apartment.

The entrance hallway provides a welcoming area with plenty of space for storage. The hallway leads to a bright and comfortable lounge/kitchen. The well-equipped kitchen has a hob, fridge with freezer compartment, microwave, dishwasher, Nespresso coffee machine, toaster and all the necessary items to enjoy a self-catered holiday. There is a dining table seating six guests and a comfortable sofa, TV with local channels, and WIFI. Patio doors lead to a private garden and furnished terrace with Mountain view’s.

There are two comfortable bedrooms located at opposite ends of the hallway, they are both bright and nicely decorated with good quality beds. The first bedroom has a double bed, stylish alpine decoration, wall storage for hanging items and has additional storage in the hallway. The second bedroom has two single beds, and plenty of storage for personal items. The bathroom has a shower cubicle and a separate wc.

There is a secure bike store in the interior of the apartment, equipped with wall mounts for four bikes, track pump, tool kit and work stand. There is ample space for skis and winter sports equipment.

Rental as advertised, very pleasant accommodation and area, very responsive hosts in case of problems. We had a great week. Only possible negative point, the fact that it is a house divided into 3 units, so at times we hear the other tenants because of the partitions and floors that were originally not intended for this. However, if everyone respects themselves, this is not a major issue.

Maison Étoile is an excellent choice for Cycle/Ski friendly self-catered holidays in a village Centre location, further benefiting from private parking for three cars, private garden with furnished terrace, BBQ and WIFI.

With a prime location in the centre of the village, ideal for road cyclists seeking to ride the famous cols, and for winter sports being a few minutes walk to the Eau d'Olle Express gondola to Oz en Oisans/Alpe d'huez, lets you reach the slopes in less than 8 minutes! There is also a resort shuttle bus stop next to the house.

This house is the main part of a large chalet comprising of three separate private units. Set in pretty gardens, with a stylish interior, bar, wood burner, WIFI, secure bike storage and is well equipped.

The entrance hallway has good storage for jackets, boots and sports helmets and there is a WC . The hallways opens into the fabulous bright and comfortable open plan lounge/kitchen/ diner.

The well-equipped kitchen has a hob, oven, fridge with freezer compartment, microwave, dishwasher, Nespresso coffee machine, toaster and all the necessary items to enjoy a self-catered holiday. A kitchen island is the perfect spot to sit with morning coffee beside the patio doors leading to the garden.c

There is a large dining table seating 10 guests, and the stand alone bar with stools is a fun touch! The lounge area had a large, plush comfortable sofa set in front of the wood burner stove. There is a wall mounted TV with local channels, and WIFI. From the lounge Patio doors lead to the pretty garden with stunning Mountain view’s.

The master bedroom is just off the lounge and is exceptionally comfortable with stylish decor, high quality double bed, sofa and en suite shower.

On the first floor there are three spacious comfortable bedrooms, two have double beds and two single beds in each, the third has a double bed and one single bed, all and beautifully decorated with good quality beds and bedding.

The first floor mezzanine has a chill out area with comfortable sofas, tv and DVD player.

There is a family bathroom with bath and shower attachment.

In the secure garage you will find it well equipped with a track pump, bike tools, and stand. This allows you to travel light on your holiday!

from where you can take another of two gondolas high in to the ski area (either one to Dome de Rousses or the other one called Poutran which both take you in the heart of the ski area). Coming back down at the end of the day you can take the Eau d'Olle gondola down again - it runs until 18.00 (you cannot ski all the way down to Allemond since there is no snow that low in the mountain). One day we also took the drive to Les Deux Alpes (about 30 minutes) which is another world class ski area. I can imagine this is also a very nice place to stay to explore the region in the summer, for hiking or biking

We were a party of 8 people visiting from Norway. All-in-all we were very happy with our stay. The house was cosy and well equipped. There was plenty of space for dining, a good kitchen, nice sitting areas and good beds in all the bedrooms. The pillows, covers and bed linens provided were very good. There is a small but well stocked SPAR supermarked about 300 meters from the house. There is a pizzeria 300 meters in the other direction. We came in the winter for skiing. You can put on your ski boots, grab your skis and walk the short distance (300-400 meters total) to the Eau d'Olle Gondola (walk to the river and follow the foot path) which in 8 minutes takes you up to Oz en Oisans ……

This pretty first floor studio apartment is one of three separate units within a large chalet set in a beautiful garden, on a quiet street in a prime location in Allemond. It benefits from a secure bike store, garden with exterior table and chairs, BBQ, WIFI, TV.

The studio is ideal for cyclists seeking to ride the famous cols of the Oisans. And for winter holidays being so close from the Eau d'Olle Express gondola to Oz en Oisans/Alpe d'huez, let’s you reach the slopes in less than 8 minutes!

The first floor studio is accessed by exterior stairs to the side of the chalet. The studio is cosy and well-equipped for self catered holidays. There is a small kitchen, hob, fridge with small freezer compartment, microwave, Nespresso coffee machine, toaster and all the necessary items to make for a comfortable stay. There is a dining table seating four guests and a comfortable sofa/ day bed from where to relax,or watch tv and catch up with sporting events on the local channels, WIFI is available.

The bathroom has a shower cubicle and wc and hanging storage for clothes.

A staircase leads up to the mezzanine bedroom in the eves of the building. There is a comfortable double bed, window with views to the mountains, and a set of drawers for clothes storage.

The studio has a private area in the garden next to a stream from where you can enjoy an evening aperitif. There is a bistro table with chairs and BBQ for private use of the studio

The apartment has a secure bike store on the ground exterior of the studio, equipped with wall mounts for two bikes, track pump, tool kit and work stand. There is ample space to store bikes, skis or winter sports equipment.

There is a private parking space outside the property.
A bus stop is located directly outside the studio with services to Grenoble and Bourg d'Oisans. There is a free bus service to Vaujany during the ski season as well as the free navette circling the village to the Eau d'Olle Express gondola. All timetables can be found at the studio

The studio has local information, maps and a welcome book full of local tips and information to ensure you get the most from your holiday.

This stunning detached 4-bedroom chalet with large garden is modern, spacious and well equipped for self catered holidays offering excellent alpine style accommodation for ski, hiking and cycling holidays.

With an enviable location in the centre of Allemond, just a short walk from to the l’Eau d’Olle express télécabine and easy access to the pistes on your winter holiday.

The ground floor open is open plan with excellent facilities offering comfortable, bright open plan living. The spacious lounge has a stylish wood burning stove, high picture windows, comfortable sofas, tv and patio doors leading to the terrace. The modern kitchen is well equipped with everything you need including hob, oven, fridge freezer and dish washer to self cater on holiday. The dining area is in front of the patio doors to the south facing garden and can seat eight guests .

The master bedroom is just off the lounge with double bed, with ensuite shower, WC and plenty of storage for personal items. There is a separate WC and a utility room with washing machine.

An open staircase from the lounge leads to the spacious first floor and three comfortable bedrooms. The first bedroom is located in the open plan mezzanine, with a large sofa and floor to ceiling picture windows with fabulous views of the mountains. A room divider offers privacy. The second nicely decorated bedroom has a double bed and storage. A corridor looking down over the lounge leads to the fourth bedroom with twin beds, one of which has a pull out adult sized mattress. A family sized bathroom has a full sized corner bath, a shower cubicle and a WC.

On the ground floor there is a bike/ski store for the safe storage of bikes and sports equipment attached. There are bike tools, track pump and stand for you to use.

The south facing garden has a wonderful large terrace to take in the breath-taking mountain view’s or to dine alfresco in the summer months.

Fine spacious house and in a very good location; even without a car, you can see the most beautiful landscapes within walking distance thanks to the mountain lift. The host was quick to communicate with and thoughtful.

Fantastic house in a good location. We used the chair lifts and access to this was easy from Allemond. Also, cycling in the area is amazing and the bike store had plenty of space to accommodate all our kit. There is a small supermarket 50 yards away that had all the food we needed as well as a local patisserie and several restaurants. The Allemond tourist information were also very helpful.
